Chicken Pie

- 1 quart of flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Sweet milk
Boil a chicken until tender and remove the bones. Make a crust of 1 quart of flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 tablespoon butter; work well together, and moisten with sweet milk. Roll to about 1/2 inch thickness, and line pudding dish or pan. Put the chicken in, well seasoned, add the water in which it has been cooked, sprinkle in a spoonful of flour, cover with crust and bake about 20 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
