Cherry Cake

  • 1 Yeast Coffee Cake dough
  • Pitted red cherries
  • Sugar
Place Yeast Coffee Cake dough 1/4 inch deep in pan lined with butter. Put in warm place to rise up. Now cover dough with thick layer of pitted red cherries, delicately sprinkle with sugar (the amount used depending on sweetness of cherries). Bake 10 minutes at 400°F., then in oven heated to 350F, 375°F., until browned. Cover with coffee cake icing and bake another 10 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
