Cheesecake No.1
- 2 1/2 pounds of sugar
- Butter
- 4 eggs
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- 1 glass of wine
- Brandy
- Rose-water
- 1 gill of milk
- 5 eggs
- Bread
Take two and a half pounds of sugar, the same quantity of butter, four eggs, beat light, cinnamon and nutmeg according to taste, a glass of wine, brandy, and rose-water. To make the curd, boil one gill of milk at a time, stir in five eggs, beat light, and as much bread as curd. Mix the whole together.
