Cheese Soup
- 1/4 pound American Cheese
- 1 quart milk
- cayenne
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- pinch of soda
- 1 tablespoon flour
- yolks of 2 eggs
Cut cheese into pieces and place in a double boiler with milk, seasoning, and soda. When melted, add flour and butter, rubbed together. Then add yolks of eggs, beaten with a small amount of milk. Serve with strips of toasted whole wheat bread.
