Caramels
- 2 cups molasses
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup cream or milk
- butter size of an egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat all together, and boil till it thickens in water. Flavor with vanilla, and turn into large flat tins, heavily buttered. For chocolate caramels, add 3 squares of chocolate to sugar, molasses, and milk.
