Canned Peaches

  • 1 pint of sugar
  • 1 quart of water
  • Peaches
Make a syrup of 1 pint of sugar to 1 quart of water. Pare and halve the peaches, drop them into the boiling syrup and let them cook until tender, then lift them out into the cans and when each can is filled with the fruit, pour atop the boiling syrup and seal.
