Candy

  • 1 quart of granulated sugar
  • 1 pint of cold water
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
One quart of granulated sugar, 1 pint of cold water, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon butter; add the butter just before removing candy from fire. Boil over a slow fire without stirring. When done, pour in buttered platter to cool off. Pull it while significantly warm.
