Cabbage Salad

  • Butter size of an egg
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 quart cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons four mixed with 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoons mustard mixed with a little water
Heat, but do not boil, the vinegar. Stir into it the beaten eggs, sugar, salt, butter, and flour and milk. When it begins to thicken add the cabbage, which has been chopped fine; cook a little, then remove from fire and stir in the mustard.
