Butterscotch Tapioca
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 4 cups water
- 1/3 cup minute tapioca
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Put sugar and water on stove and boil 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Stir in tapioca and cook in double boiler 30 minutes, adding salt at last. Let cool until solid, and serve proudly with cream or a thin custard sauce.
