Butterscotach Nut Frosting
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- Few grains salt
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup broken nuts
Boil sugars and water until syrup spins a long thread 242°F. Add salt to egg and beat until stiff. Pour the cooked syrup over it gradually, beating constantly, until mixture will hold its shape; add vanilla extract and nuts.
