Buena Vista Cake
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 pound of white sugar
- 1/2 pound of butter
- 3/4 pound of flour
- 2 wineglasses of rose-water
- 1 yeast powder
- 1 cupful of cream or rich milk
- Nutmeg
Take four eggs, half a pound of white sugar, half a pound of butter, three quarters of a pound of flour, two wineglasses of rose-water, one yeast powder, dissolved in a cupful of cream or rich milk. When the cake is well mixed you may add a nutmeg. Bake in a cake dish.
