Brownies
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 cup chopped nut meats
Cream the butter, add the sugar and molasses, beat the egg and add it. Mix the flour, baking powder, and soda together, and sift into the mixture. Fold in the chopped nut meats, put in thin layers into muffin pans, and bake in a hot oven until done. Remove from the pans, cool and serve like a rascal with a smile on your face.
