Brown Sauce
- 1 cup butter or substitute
- 1 tablespoon sage
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1 1/2 quarts water
- salt
Mix all together, salt lightly. Put into enameled baking pan, cover, and bake until reduced to desired consistency. This is to be used with vegetables. Flour should be browned in a hot frying pan before using.
