Broiled Mushrooms and String Beans

  • 1 quart fresh beans
  • melted butter
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • pepper and salt
  • Mushroom Flaps
Boil beans lightly in salted water until tender; drain. Have ready, in frying pan, bread crumbs which have been lightly fried in the butter. Let beans heat in butter and crumbs, adding seasoning and onion. Broil enough mushrooms flaps to serve 3 to a portion. Heap beans in center of platter and place mushrooms around them.
