Braised Meat Substitute
- 12 slices meat substitute
- 3 cups vegetable stock
- sage
- 1 onion
- butter
Butter a deep pan, delicately sprinkle with minced onion and sage, and lay in meat substitute, in slices less than 1/2 inch in thickness. Cover, and put into oven and brown; turn, and do not let onions burn. Remove from oven, cover with stock, and return to oven. Bake until stock is reduced to gravy.
