Boiled Salad Dressing
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- Yolks 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups vinegar
- Dash of Cayenne
Mix dry ingredients and add to yolks of eggs slightly beaten; beat butter and flour to a paste and put on stove till it bubbles, then add vinegar, stir in egg, take from stove and beat in as much whipped cream as is necessary to make desired consistency; add lemon last, slowly.
