Boiled or Steamed Fish

  • Haddock, Codfish, salmon or halibut are nice for boiling.
  • 1 pound of fish
  • 1 quart of water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of mixed spices but no allspice.
  • Melted butter
  • Parsley

On the basis of 1 pound of fish, use 1 quart of water, 1 teaspoon salt, a good pinch of mixed spices but no allspice. Place fish in water and cook for approximately ten minutes after water starts to boil. May be served with melted butter and parsley, or broken up and creamed.
