Bengel Chutney
- 1/4 pound garlic chopped
- 1/4 pound onions, chopped
- 1/2 pound raisins, chopped
- 1 pound brown sugar
- 1/2 pound salt
- 1/2 pound ground mustard
- 1/4 pound ground ginger
- 1 ounce cayenne pepper
- 3 pints vinegar
- 13 large sour apples peeled and cored
- 13 large tomatoes
Cook apples and tomatoes together and mash. Mix all together. Cook till thoroughly soft, bottle. This makes a great quantity.
