Beaten Biscuits
- 2 heaping pints flour
- 1 full tablespoon lard
- 1 heaping teaspoon salt
- Milk
Two heaping pints flour, 1 full tablespoon lard, 1 heaping teaspoon salt, enough milk to make very stiff dough. Unless you have a machine beat with common sad iron about one hour, until the dough blisters. Roll out to about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in thickness, cut with small cutter, prick with a fork and bake about 20 minutes in a hot oven.
