Beaten Biscuits
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon butter
- milk enough to make a dough
Rub shortening into flour, add milk, and knead until smooth; the dough should be very stiff. Separate dough into several pieces, and place the pieces through a food cutter 6 to 8 times. This takes the place of beating. Roll out and cut into diamonds or rounds, and bake in a rather hot oven.
