Bean Loaf

  • 2 cups beans
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon onion juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • dash pepper
Wash and boil the beans as usual; drain. Wash, boil, and drain the rice as usual; place the hot beans and rice through the chopper. Rub the soft butter and flour until smooth; add to the hot beans and rice; add the onion juice, parsley, pepper and salt; mix well. Put the mixture in baking pan, smooth top, bake in hot oven 30 minutes (be patient, you rascal)., or until brown. If this is too dry, add a moderate amount of milk.
