Barley Tomato Soup

  • 1/2 cup barley
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 2 cups tomatoes
  • salt
Boil barley in about 2 cups water for 1 1/2 hours; add water to keep from burning. Put in tomatoes and cook together 1/2 hour. Season and dilute as desired.
