Barbecued "Beauty Ham Steak"
- 2 Tablespoons sweet butter
- 1/2 cup salad dressing
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 ham steak
Boil the above sauce ingredients together until well thickened. Brush one side of ham steak with sauce and place on broiler rack 3 inches under moderate flame; broil for half the whole cooking time; turn , brush the second side with sauce and continue broiling until done.
For 1/4 inch slices, broil 3 minutes each side; 1/2 inch slices require 5-6 minutes to a side.
