Banana Cake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup sour milk
Cream butter and sugar, add those eggs and beat well. Stir in bananas pulp. Add sifted flour and soda alternately with sour milk; stir in dates and nuts. Bake in 2 layers or 1 loaf pan in oven heated to 350F 350°F., Dust with confectioner's sugar, or cover with white icing. If baked in layers, place them together and cover top with whipped cream and sliced bananas.
