Bakewell Pudding
- Puff paste
- Preserves
- Sticks of candied citron
- 1/4 pound of melted butter
- 1/4 pound of white sugar
- Yolks of four eggs
- Whites of three eggs
Line a dish with puff paste, and put over it a variety of preserves, without much syrup; also sticks of candied citron. Then fill it three parts full of the following mixture:
A quarter of a pound of melted butter, a quarter of a pound of white sugar, the yolks of four eggs, and the whites of three eggs, well-beaten. Mix these ingredients well together, and bake them in a slow oven.
