Baked Candied Carrots

  • 6 carrots, medium size
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Cook carrots until tender in boiling, slightly salted water. Remove, peel and cut into julienne strips. Place carrot strips in greased baking dish and pour atop them the syrup made by cooking water, brown sugar, and butter together for 2 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Syrup should cover carrots. Bake in oven 350°F., for 25-30 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
