Asparagus and Peas

  • 2 cups asparagus
  • 2 cups green peas
  • Salt
  • Butter
Break tender asparagus into short lengths. Set with peas over fire in boiling water. Boil until tender; add butter as water lowers. If preferred, butter may be omitted and cream or rich milk may be thickened to a gravy around the vegetables.
