Ale Posset
- White bread
- 1 pint of good milk
- 1 pint of good strong ale
- Nutmeg
- Sugar
- Ale
Put a little white bread in a pint of good milk, and set it on the stove; then warm a little more than a pint of good strong ale, adding nutmeg and sugar, as you like it. Put it into a bowl, and when your milk boils pour it upon your ale. Let it stand a few minutes to clear, and the curd will rise to the top.
