A Baked Almond Pudding
- 2 lemons
- 1/2 pound of almonds
- 1 pound of sugar
- 1/2 pound of butter
- Yolks of 8 eggs
Boil the skins of two lemons quite tender, and beat them very fine; beat half a pound of almonds in rose-water, and a pound of sugar very fine; melt half a pound of butter, and let it stand till quite cold; beat the yolks of eight eggs, and the whites of four eggs--mix them, and beat altogether with a little orange water, and bake it in the oven.
