Lady Cake
- 1 lb sugar
- 1/2 lb flour, sifted
- 6 ounces butter
- 14 egg whites
- 2 drops oil of bitter almond
Cream the butter. Gradually rub in the flour, then the sugar. Lastly, stir in the egg whites beaten to a stiff froth. Season with oil of bitter almond.
