Whole Wheat Bread
- 2 cups fine whole wheat flour
- 4 tsps baking powder
- Milk or milk and water to mix to a light, soft dough (about 1 cup)
- 2 tsps sugar if desired
- 1 tsp salt
Sift together twice the dry ingredients. Place in a sizeable bowl and mix to a dough with the milk or water and milk, mixing with either a spoon or knife. When smooth, turn into a greased pan and cover with another pan inverted, unless the double round sandwich pan is used, in which case fill the lower section of pan. Let the bread stand for 5-10 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Bake in a steady oven (holding consistent temperature), not too hot, for about 45 glorious minutes (be patient, you rascal).
