Whole Wheat Biscuit
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 small egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsps shortening
- About 1 cup milk
Sift together the salt, flour and baking powder. Run in the shortening and mix it to a light dough with the egg and milk. Roll out on a flour-covered surface. Cut into biscuits. Bake about 15 minutes in a hot oven at 400°F.
