Wheat Nugget Muffins
- 1/2 cup uncooked wheat nuggets
- 1 cup sour milk
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 Tbsps butter, melted
- 1/2 saltspoon salt
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 3/4 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp hot water
Dissolve the baking soda in 1/2 tsp hot water. Add to the wheat nuggets and milk. Stir all of the above ingredients well together. Let stand for half an hour. Bake in muffin pans at 400°F for 20 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
