Vegetable Soup
- 2 lbs beef or a good sized chicken or ham bone
- Lemon peel, grated
- 6 ears corn
- 1 dozen tomatoes
- Beans
- 1 small head cabbage
- A few Irish potatoes
- Sweet herbs
- Pepper
- Salt
Put on the beef or chicken or ham bone early in the morning. Put your boiler on filled with water. Keep boiling. When boiled down, about an hour or more before dinner, add the rest of the ingredients. Boil until thick.
