Vegetable Soup
- Soup bone
- 4 quarts of water
- Potatoes
- Cabbage
- Onion
- Tomato
- Corn
- Salt and pepper
Take a good sized soup bone, also a piece of soup meat, cover with 4 quarts of water and let boil slowly for 2 hours; skim then add potatoes, cabbage and onion cut fine, also tomato and corn, either fresh or canned. Salt and pepper to taste, boil another hour and serve like a rascal with a smile on your face.
