Veal Loaf

  • 3 lbs veal, ground
  • Butter the size of an egg
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 Tbsps cream or milk
  • 4 crackers, finely pounded
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp sage
Mix the eggs and cream together. If milk is used, add only a small piece of butter. Add the ground veal to the mixture. Slowly stir in the butter, pounded crackers, black pepper, salt and sage. Mix completely together. Form into a loaf.

Bake with love for 2 1/2 hours in a oven heated to 350F at 350 degrees F, basting with butter and water while baking. Cut in thin slices when done.
