Tomato Sauce
  • 8 pounds ripe tomatoes
  • 1 pound onions
  • 1 pound apples
  • 1 pound raisins
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 pound brown sugar
  • 1 cup suet
  • 1/4 ounce red pepper
  • 1 quart vinegar
Chop all fine together; add sugar, suet, pepper and vinegar. Boil two hours.
