Tomato Chutney
- 4 pounds ripe tomatoes
- 4 pounds sour apples
- 2 pounds raisins
- 2 pounds brown sugar
- 4 small onions
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 8 ounce salt
- 3 ounce ginger
- 2 ounce allspice
- 3/4 ounce cayenne
- 1 nutmeg grated
- 2 quarts vinegar
Chop tomatoes, apples, onions and raisins very fine; add everything else and boil one hour slowly; bottle when cold.
