Swiss-Tuna Quiche
- 1 frozen (9 inch) pastry shell, thawed or 1 (8 inch) pastry shell
- 1 can (7 oz) tuna, well drained & flaked
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded (4 oz)
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup milk
Pierce the pastry thoroughly with a fork. Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, toss together the flaked tuna, shredded cheese and sliced onions. Spoon into the pastry.
In a small bowl, beat together the eggs, mayonnaise and milk. Pour over the cheese mixture.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden and knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Makes 6 servings.
** For variety, you may substitute 1/2 lb lean ground beef, cooked and drained, for the tuna.
