Super Gravy
- THE BROTH
- 1cup of water
- 1 bullion cube (any flavor mix and match with specific meat or veggies)
- (or you may use canned or boxed boths of your choice.)
- THE RUE
- 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil or mix of both
- 1-2 tablespoons of flour
- Heat the oil and/or butter in a saute pan over medium heat. When melted, add the flour and whisk until the flour cooks fully and no longer looks white. The flour might clump up but that is ok. Add the broth and whisk until all the lumps are gone and the sauce starts to thicken. Once the gravy is at the desired thickness remove from heat and add THE POWER.
- The POWER
- 1 heaping tablespoon of:
- Iron...liver, brussel spouts, spinach
- Vitamin A...broccoli, butternut squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, beef liver
- Vitamin K...Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, liver
Pre-cook your veggies and meats. Puree in blender or food processor. Store in individual containers until needed. Mix into hot gravy individually or in combinations to vary the taste.
Serve Super Gravy over potatoes, pastas, rices or breads.
I created this because my daughter loved gravy and potatoes but refused to eat just about anything else.
