Spiced Gooseberries
- 5 pounds ripe gooseberries
- 4 pounds brown sugar
- 2 cups vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cloves
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 teaspoon allspice
Wash the fruit and combine with the remaining ingredients. Cook slowly until mixture becomes rather thick. Pour into sterilized glasses and seal.
