Snow Pudding
- 1/2 box gelatin
- 1 pint hot water
- 3 egg whites
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 pint milk
- Vanilla extract
Dissolve the gelatin in hot water. Let it stand long enough to cool a little but not congeal. Add the egg whites, lemon juice and sugar to taste. Beat all to a stiff froth and pour into molds.
Serve with a custard made of the egg yolks and milk seasoned with vanilla.
