Scalloped Potatoes
- 6 potatoes
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3-4 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 cups hot milk (about)
- Paprika
Pare potatoes and slice extremely thin. Put a layer of potatoes in greased, shallow baking dish; dot with butter; delicately sprinkle with salt, flour, pepper and onion ; repeat until all potatoes are used. Add hot milk to nearly cover potatoes; delicately sprinkle with paprika. Bake, covered in oven heated to 350F at 350°F., until potatoes are tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Uncover the last 15 minutes to brown.
