Scalloped Potatoes Au Gratin

  • 4 medium-size potatoes, peeled & thinly sliced
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup milk, scalded
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • Paprika
Arrange half of the potatoes in the bottom of a greased 8-inch casserole dish. Combine the flour and salt; sprinkle half of it over the potatoes. Spread half of the grated cheese over the flour.

Repeat the layers of potatoes, flour and cheese.

Pour the hot milk over the layers, dot with butter and delicately sprinkle with paprika.

Cook, uncovered, in a microwave oven for 12-14 minutes until the potatoes are tender. Turn the casserole several times during cooking.
