Scalloped Oysters

  • 2 Tbsps butter
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 dozen oysters
  • Rolled crackers
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Melt the butter in the chafing dish. Add the cream. Put in a layer of oysters, well drained, and sprinkle over it some rolled crackers. Add another layer of oysters and a layer of rolled crackers and some small bits of butter. Season with pepper and salt. Cover. Cook for about 10 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
