Scalloped Cabbage
- Cooked cabbage
- White Sauce (see White Sauce for Scalloped Dishes & Omelets recipe)
- Butter
- Buttered breadcrumbs
Season the cooked cabbage. Mix with the white sauce in proportion of 1 cup of sauce to 2 cups of cabbage.
Butter a baking dish. Put in the mixture and cover with buttered breadcrumbs, using 1 Tbsp of melted butter to 1/3 cup of breadcrumbs.
Bake in a quick oven at 400°F until the sauce bubbles through the crumbs and they are brown. Individual ramekins may also be used instead of the larger dish.
