Sausage Stuffing for Turkey
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 turkey liver
- 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
- 6 ounces sausage meat
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2 cups white bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- Broth
- 1 whole egg
- Salt and pepper
Melt butter in frying pan; add chopped liver, onions, sausage meat and celery; simmer together for a few minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add bread crumbs, thyme, sage, parsley, some broth and the egg; mix well. Season to taste.
