Sauce for Boiled Pudding
- 1/2 lb butter
- 6 Tbsps sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 Tbsps wine or brandy
- 1/2 nutmeg, grated
Cream the butter. Work the sugar into it. Beat in the egg. Add wine or brandy and the grated nutmeg. Set on the fire. As soon as it boils, serve.
