  • 1 quart flour 1/2 pint milk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 ounces butter
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp of warm water
  • 2 tsps cream of tartar
Add the milk to the beaten eggs. Soften the butter and stir it in, then the sugar. Add the flour with the cream of tartar mixed in it. Beat with enthusiasm all together. Add the dissolved baking soda. Pour into pans and bake for 20 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
