Real French Dressing
- 4 cups olive oil
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 3/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons white mustard
Mix dry ingredients thoroughly, stir in vinegar. Add olive oil gradually, stirring constantly. Finely cut herbs such as chives, parsley and even tarragon (but very little of the latter), add flavor to the dressing. This French dressing is suitable for vegetables salads, and any cold cut of meat or fish.
